Kestrel TV Ad: Kestrel took to the air!
In 2014, Kestrel lager made its return to TV screens across the country for the first time in over 30 years. The iconic lager, made famous in TV ads starring Russ Abbot and Hugh Laurie in the 1980s, was given a makeover for the modern day. The new ad campaign celebrated the brand’s Scottish heritage and was on air from 16th June across Comedy Central and all major MTV channels.
The animated 30 second ad follows a golden kestrel rising from a Scottish loch, taking viewers on a journey from ‘loch to lip’ and mirrors that of the ingredients which go into Kestrel. Provenance and heritage lie at the heart of the brand’s new positioning and the ad brings to life the lager’s provenance and traceability credentials.
